ABOUT SOLIGNMENT BREATHE PROCESS

THE NAME:

The word Solignment is a combination of “Somatic” and “Alignment” – meaning that this experience allows us to live from and hear the wisdom and power of our bodies and not be led by the sometimes-untethered mind and intellect.  And, yes, it is a Soul-Alignment, meaning that the essential, original design of who we were born to be is awakened in our bodies, enabling us to KNOW and take effective actions.  This very special breath process removes negative “imprints” from our past, actually rewires our nervous system and clears the unconscious. Illness and resistance dissolve and the lives we always wanted emerge. 

HOW DOES ONE DO SOLIGNMENT?

Solignment Breath sessions proceed through 5 stages.  Initially, after the client finds a very comfortable position, usually lying down with support for their knees, they are led by the facilitator into a deep, deep state of relaxation through beautiful music and skilled verbal guidance. Stage two transitions with supportive music to an “activated breath” phase where deep belly breaths are sustained for a period of time that fills the system with life-giving prana and paves new neural pathways in the nervous system.  Stage three, or the surrender  phase, is when the client allows their breath to “breathe them” naturally, and the benefits of the previous activated breath course through their system. Often there are physical releases, profound insights, an expanded sense of peace and tranquility, ideas for next, right steps for any given intention, and key understandings about one’s self and others. During the fourth stage or integration phase, the client is asked to turn ever so slowly to one side or the other and feel where the most expansion and pleasure is happening in their body, learning how to bask in receiving, receiving all that life and one’s soul wants to bring to them.  Lastly, there is a “debriefing” in which clients share the gifts of the session through journaling, verbalizing, or even sometimes drawing images of the realizations that have come forth and how these will impact their lives going forward.  

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR SOLIGNMENT TO WORK IN MY LIFE?

Because Solignment opens the way for your own inner wisdom to work, changes happen according to your own readiness. I have witnessed people release chronic back pain that they lived with for over 20 years in a single session.  A client of mine immediately experienced a major shift that infiltrated multiple areas of her life that she kept notes on (rest, quality of sleep, synchronicities, and significant adjustments at work) and her second session lead to an even more profound awakening of a generational pattern that was threatening her health - empowering her to immediately pivot her decisions to self-care and show up for back to back interviews with a sense of groundedness and composure.  Receiving the support of a faciliator for 3-6 months will show solid, permanent change that one can continue on their own with practice. 

 

Although I have been a long-time practitioner of another profound breath process, my first introduction to Solignment really caught my attention because instead of it expanding my sense of connection with a “Higher Power”, this method connected me to my own Deeper Power, something that had eluded me my whole life.

GROUP SOLIGNMENT SESSIONS

Group Sessions take place either in my studio, the Gallery space in my building, yoga and retreat centers, or online – following the same enjoyable 5-part structure and debriefing.

PRIVATE SOLIGNMENT SESSIONS

Private sessions usually take place in my light-filled studio on my massage table or online in your own “nest” at home.  After getting clear on what your intention for your session is, you lie down and relax to soothing music and gentle guidance (and if you welcome it, occasional gentle touch) for your entire body/mind system to relax deeply into the moment.  Phase two involves an “activated breath” that invites in your lifeforce to clear cellular interference and deliver deep awarenesses related to one’s intention.  Phase three is a surrendering to one’s natural breath where one receives the benefits of the deep oxygenation, savoring the information flooding into your system, and often healing long held ailments.  Phase four, or the integration phase, is where you turn to one side and just RECEIVE all the goodness and pleasure of the experience, savoring the new knowing and shifts these generate. Lastly, we have a brief debriefing where you either write, draw, or verbalize the inspirations that have transpired and share how they will impact your life going forward.  â€‹
